My 'friend ' drove a Mini whilst sitting in the passenger seat with four people in the back and drivers seat empty - route back to college from the pub that lunchtime involved passing local Police station.

Another 'friend' having just passed his test decided he needed to learn some car control so drove into local school playing fields one dark evening and used a route around the swing, slide and climbing frame as a course for timed laps ( until a resident came out and Police were called) Friend garaged the car and went back on his pushbike to see what was happening and was somewhat embarrased to see just how much wet grass cuts up after 20 minutes of autotesting. :?

Another 'friend' got a Police caution for allowing his mate to drive him home as he forgot he had the car and got slaughtered in the pub (aged 17 -4 weeks after passing test) . Mate proceeded to stall the car in front of a Police car as he was leaving the car park. When stopped by said Police car it turned out that mate wasn't insured. (and both only got a caution :thumbsup )

All of the above were committed many many years ago (30 ish) when things were much more relaxed and my friend is much older and wiser and can't quite believe how irresponsible he could be as a yoof  :?

I forgot about my friend driving a scrambler accross a school playfield at lunchtime full of kids playing football and kicking the ball, no helmets, giving a backie.

Another friend told me you can drive from Pitlochry to Aberdeen (via glenshee) in an hour and 5 minutes

More on a car rather than in it and I'm not sure how illegal it is but I did roof surf a Land Rover Safari at the Beach Boulevard in Aberdeen in my late teens. Obviously under the influence at the time.

That'll be the extent of my willy waving for today I think.

I have taken advice from my Lawyer and I have not to quote any of the twelve incidents that spring to mind.............which is a pity because the one about the sixteen year old twin sisters from Germany in the back of a Volvo Estate is impressive

Nothing to worry about prying eyes for any of these:-

1) 1956, taking my brother in laws car out of the garage, picking up three friends, crashing it, then putting it back in the garage and not telling him.

2) 1956, bought the Singer 9 that you have seen a pic of for £10 just before my 17th birthday and car test, took it out for a test drive, stopped by a Morris Minor patrol car(sic), no licence, under age, no tax, no insurance, £10 fine, no points, but I don't think they had been invented then.

3) 1968, stopped for speeding in TR2 with first wife, stuck the cushion she was sitting on under her jumper and told the officer that she was in labour, he escorted us to Hospital but fortunately did not come inside.

5)1994, paxing in the Motorhome(no licence for six years, blackouts), three hour queue on the M6, told the driver to take the hard shoulder, got stopped by a patrol car but I was having an angina attack and using the Nitroglicerina spray, escorted off the Motorway.

6) 1999, got my licence back and bought N1 TUT, but that was my sensible period from then on. Well almost.......

7) 2004 Stelvio, led astray by a turbo Porsche on the Autoroute in Spain, stopped for fuel after leaving Robin and John behind, could not pay for it as no wallet, Robin and John pull in and work out that I had left it at the lunch stop 150kms back, shot off at tuts, tuts, tuts, road block just before my turn off but too late to stop, picked up wallet to return but had a text from Robin telling me to get to the ferry and out of the Country as the police were looking for me, did not fancy that so carried on towards Toledo, no map, no idea, just kept bearing right, stopped on the outskirts as I had no idea where we were staying and the phone battery was flat, couple of minutes later Robin and John pulled along side. Must have been my lucky day.

8) 2007, 11 points that I got within 3 months after buying N3.

9) 2007-2012, nothing since.

All the above has been paid for or documented apart from one not in this Country, so no chance of retribution.

Especially when the said Volvo estate was being driven round the Tour of Mull roads at the time. Brings a true meaning to the word "yump". :thumbsup

Suppose I can talk about this now, given it's been nearly 5 years since it happened...

Not me, but my ex's 17 year old son got drunk out his tiny head, and decided to take my S1 Elise for a spin. (I was working away; but he'd turned the house upside down to find the keys I'd hidden...)

Anyway, he managed about 80 yards before planting my S1 into the side of my neighbours Alfa (parked in their drive), getting out and legging it.

(both cars written off).

So - A Friday after guessing game...

What punishment did he get for:

Drink driving x3 the limit
No driving license
No insurance
No 'L' plates displayed
Taking without consent
Causing an accident & leaving the scene

???

Closest guess wins

Apparently me and a fellow SE'r over took three abreast round a blind corner on a narrow road.
That actually was sh*t though...
