And another......though last time I was in a car with Walshy the two of us went into a field at Crail backwards at over 60mph.
Needless to say, he wasn't the one driving

Reminds me of when we were using a fiesta on the diesel oval at crail (remember the one with no back window Mac?).
I was driving a but Walshy was operating the handbrake at 'surprise' moments. We got around the bend OK but unfortunately I'd obviously forgotten quite how many turns of opposite lock I'd applied (it had quite a few)...
I wound off what I thought was all the lock while nailing it up the straight...all was well until we exited the diesel at which point the front tyres gripped and fired us off into the cabbages!
Walshy said he'd recognised my mistake but,"Thought we'd see what happened...".

All characters appearing in this post are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
Any references to laptimes, speed or driving on the public highway are purely for dramatic effect.

Justin,
I flew down and hired Andy's Elise, saved the long drive down and back again. Think he should have it fixed by now, I broke the Toe Link on his Elise.
I'll probably take the Exige down next time as I would like to see how my car responds. Really was a great day and happily do it again either way.
It really was good to go beyond the limits in a save enviroment, would recommend it to anyone
Cheers

Yup, brilliant day spent with one very tallented welshman but information overload is an understatement.
Too much to take in on just one session, but the only thing putting me off signing up for more is the long drive south
Very interested in something closer to home.
Experience is something you get, just after you need it!!

Indeed - a man blessed with not only great car control, but a rare ability to teach.
Another talent would be his Guiness consumption - trying to keep up with which I largely blame for the nick of me the last time I visited him and the subsequent shots of my arse appearing on the forum...

A DRINK lasting until 0600 the next morning.
I was eating my bacon, egg, and tattie scone, when these two apparitions appeared, though I do admit Robin could stand up unlike his friend, and actually made it to Spa.
He also gave some driving tips later, which is more than his drinking partner managed.

just watch out with the amount of bullsh*t he comes out with
He's been in the huff with me since Frolic when I asked him where the scars on his back were from all those spinal operations he'd told me about. "Eye down't sc'aa," was the response.
