Scott, were you on the M90 heading towards Perth yesterday evening in the pissing rain?

I was heading in the opposite direction away to pick up the car.
Yea t was me, on me way home to Dundee. And almost bricking it at 50! Over took a truck at 60 and the car actually jumped over a puddle. My mates story of him aquaplaning at 60mph on the M8 straight into the barrier, then into a Landover lept to mind! :?
Fantastic cars except on motorways in torrential rain :( Quite possibly the most common way of writing em off???

Fekin nice car by the way!! Both ur's an Lee's..... love the lettering / light arrangement etc etc!! :thumbsup

*cough* CHROME *cough* orange exiges are common as muck :-)

We need to get them all together for a photo shoot (well, not mine, as its dirty and wants to stay in to wash its hair) ....

Cheers,
Robin

Gotta stick up for Scott the Perv here, mate. I've been commuting on the A77 during this week's torrential rain and it's not bloody funny :( KH doesn't have a film of grease & diesel that floats through the tarmac when the rain comes on, but the A facking 77 definately does

On Maxies with the camber I'm running, it's been almost suicidal at times - I've had white van man screaming past as I pootle along, in the knowledge that I need a fortnight's stopping distance. Roundabouts are entered either at 5mph, or with understeer followed by 1/2 turn of opposite lock on the exits. Puts the sh!ts up following motorists!

Can't even use the Pimpwagen ATM as I've SORN'd it for the summer to aid the cashflow a tad... Not that it's helping much. :(

Shug- the amount of time your car spends in a straight line I''d have thought you'd struggle to notice!

ps. the a048's are even worse grip wise when brand new, as they have a layer of crap* on them

* techincal term

It's the stuff they paint on the inside of the mould, so the tyre pops out instead of sticking to it. Plus the skin on the rubber itself. Every tyre has it, just some are more obvious than others (the 48s will be bad because there will be a massive grip differential when it beds in - just like maxies used to be)

That will cost Lotus a fortune in the amount of replacement light sales they'll lose! :D
That's an odd one. In the new pics of the Elise S, it has the same headlights but also has a pair of driving lights fitted. So Lee, what are the extra bulbs in the headlights? Are they driving lights too?

Hi Si,
Nothing odd I just didn't want any driving lights :D
The extra lamps are side-lights only , not sure if they are any better as I haven't driven it after dark.

Yea cheers Shug. It's diferent using these as commuting / daily drives.... torrential rain with Range Rovers / White Vans etc 6" from my rear clam so often cuts my life expectancy, to an unacceptably low level. Quite different from the occasional wet track day.

Nice choice!!! Makes it look very different and helps the 'lines' of the S2 front clam (the best thing about the S2 imho) really stand out 8)
