flappy paddle gears in a lotus?

There is no clutch pedal. I'm pretty sure that there will be something, e.g. pulling both paddles together, that puts it in neutral though (neutral being both clutches disengaged - I doubt it actually has a neutral position in the gearbox). After all, it must be possible to drive in traffic .... in computer-controlled-auto mode the computer probably puts it in neutral when you are pressing the brake and road speed is <idle speed in first gear.

P.S. It wouldn't really make it dangerous - as far as I know, the only reason to dip the clutch is to avoid stalling engine on spin. Doesn't really matter if you stall the engine. Unless you were in Egor when you needed to hotwire it from inside the boot during French Frolic last year and then spun/stalled on the exit kerb of a fast, blind corner with no marshalls in sight ... ;-)
