340r, is a great car track car and really good road car. A few people have driven my car and find it to be the best elise variant that they have driven. Paul G even went and bought one after driving it round Oulton and back to Crieff from KH.

Ok it is not the most practical car in the world. I managed to 1700 miles, week before last. Drove to the ring and spa AND back. yes you get a bit wet when it rains but hey I can live with that. Ok even a night away with a pax is a problem. But only if your pax has a toilet bag that would fear you and hair straightners?????

I hope that the 340r will be a car that I will have for the rest of my life (if it lasts or does not end up in a field), not many people on here can say that.

Caterham's have never floated my boat but, they would be a great track toy.

PS i would be lying if I said I did not miss having a roof.

Think I would go

1 Atom - yet to see one driven properly though - only seen one mincing around at Donnie. As already said need to be set up properly

2 Cat - the westie and cats dont have much side protection, not sure what would happen if a nutter hit you side on at the hair-pin ........

3 340 - love them had a pax around KH - they are sweet and I bet with a honda they would be  but then you would be in big ££££

Quite cool that its a record breaking car, and the guy is even looking for an Elise (though probably one that works)...

I'd love a 340R. Scotty's just gone and f**ked it all up for me though - as after seeing the flamemobile in the flesh, it just looks so right!

I'd never feel it was complete without the flames and I'd not be enough of a tit to copy the paintjob :(

That Caterham r500 looks awesome!

Massive fan of the 340r also!

Now just need to see what happens with the R (or at least have some vague idea!)
