Looks the dogs, I wondered what the 2-11 would look like in matt black. I just think it will be murder to keep clean.

Looks awesome!

How does the vinyl stand up to stone chips?

It will look rubbish is the stone chips go right thru.

I love matt black, but wouldn't have it done over gloss black - my opinion of course. I've thought about getting the 6 done in white, so would be interested to hear about whether the paint underneath is guaranteed on removal or if the lacquer does get damaged :)

I always hankered after a matt black look for the s1 exige but never got round to doing anything about it so will be keen to see how the vinyl stands up to stone chipping.

I was under the impression that the stuff used to do the "Chav Look" on my Evo was the same stuff as the wrapping used but hopefully not since the toll of 5k miles in 10 months can be seen fairly clearly close up on the edges. Perhaps red / white stands out more and it's not really an issue for the Evo since individual bits can be redone for a few quid now that the pattern is stored, but I guess it must be different thickness of film used for a full wrap.

I know its not everyones cup of tea! But then I knew it wouldnt be!

Biggest problem I am facing is how picky should I be over the quality of the finishing, I know its not going to be perfect but not sure what is ok and par for the course and whats not! Minor marks on the wrap / cut marks, when you look close you can see these but then its not a full on respray?! Emm, HELP! It is cheaper than a respray and reversible!

It is guaranteed for 3 years, and should be ok for 5, with no impact on the paint below. If anything the paintwork should be protected and in like new condition? So they say :?:

As for stone chips, like anything it will get marked, if its bad it is easy enough to go back in and get a section redone?

Some pics from today, and got the wheels back :D

Get the car back tommorrow afternoon once the doors and remaining bits are finished

I'm really interested to know the answer to this, Barrie. Be impressive if every last bit is covered... or is it just the external surfaces IYSWIM?
