"French Frolic 8 (Tut, decided to make this a touch longer than usual so you could catch up on all you missed
)"
Thanks Andy, appreciate it, though not sure that I wanted to see how much I had missed. A great write up, must have taken a lot of time, though I assume you keep a diary to remember all the detail. I shall hire you if I ever write my autobiography.

ps don't know if you saw this from Paul on LOT.
"Would not be surprised if Paul is looking at a change of month to Spring or Autumn."
tut"
"tut, doing two next year..
mainly after requests from the scots will be doing an 'extreme' ff in June.. should be cooler but also easier to get hotels and less traffic on roads.. this will be 4 circuits and 1 full week..
there will then be the usual august trip but 3 circuits and slightly shorter, allowing people to do 5 days or stay on for a holiday.
Paul "
"Would love to get another one in Paul, you can imagine how I felt reading all the posts and seeing the pics. As you know, I was not sure that I would be able to manage FF again, but part of that also was that N3 needed a rebuild which we are doing now, and I had a medical appointment.
However if I am still going strong(ish) next year we are planning a tuttowers 2010 for my 70th, and if I could manage one more FF that would be the icing on the cake.
However before then hope to see you at Oulton and/or Cadwell this year.
Cheers

Pointed that out to Paul, we are just not used to seeing that big golden ball in the sky, and 40degs is what we cook our steaks at, not a bloody air temperature.

Cracking report Mr G.
campbell wrote:Tremendous report, Andy, will even let you off with the spelling!
Lot of testosterone swilling about on that trip, mind...not sure if it's for me in future

Actually not Campbell, as you're all in it together for the trip and get to know everyone there is a great feeling of camaraderie. Plenty of tracktime also means none of the frustration of many UK trackdays.
Of course there is always some 'competitiveness' from the usual suspects but it's not compulsory.

All characters appearing in this post are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
Any references to laptimes, speed or driving on the public highway are purely for dramatic effect.

Nice one Andy.
If we could fit the following three words into the same sentence for next year that would be good...
..Cheap, Spa & Ring.
Take care,
Frank

As Paul has aimed this one towards S_E, maybe an idea to select which four tracks would be your favourites if he could include them.

There are so many though, and you wouldnt want to limit Pauls creativity!

I'm not sure if its public knowledge yet, so i wont say, but he has 4 in mind already. Obviously he has to see if they're available for the dates he needs etc etc before confirming, but trust me, they are worth doing ( LOT has done 3 of them before)

Excellent write up Andy, enjoyed that
I reckon if i had jumped in the Mule with you for the final lap of the Ring you would have dipped below 8.30 as i think you would have been out to prove a point

.
It really is an Awesome trip!! Great tracks, banter and company

. As Ali said everyone is there for each other and will help out in any way possible, if possible you never leave a shed behind

alicrozier wrote:As Robin said, need to be comfortable and confident to push right up to the limit - sometimes you only find the limit by going beyond it...
(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Hey Craig,
If everything goes ok, which it did, it is a wonderful place to drive.
If things were to go wrong though, I can imagine it would quickly become a nightmare.
As Arnie says..I'll be back.
