He just posted on .org that he reckons the chassis is ok with no irreparable damage. :thumbsup
Been following his progress from the beginning and the way he transformed the lardy Europa into a race winning contender has been amazing to watch. Fingers crossed for a speedy return to the track (with a hans device  )
So you can turn a lardy arse Elise variant into a quick car.... hope yet for the VX's then

Glad the cars fixable.

Scotty continues to be the "Driving God" we all know him to be...
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Thanks for all your support guys :-)

As you can see from the pics the car is pretty bad. I had a quick look today and downloaded the data and it doesnt look as bad as first feared and I think I may have gotten away without any irreparable chassis damage. Looks like initial impact speed was 101mph and that was scrubbed down to 65mph before I went hard into the barrier :-( Will update the blog with all the repairs as/when the happen...

Ouch, glad he is ok! :thumbsup

yes, it was a great result ! well done Scotty
"some" repairs needed, but good result (left rear bottom spring holding ring collapsed so spring was on the adjuster .... :( )
then second race did not finish due to bent toelink.
Steve williams did a great job (p)repairing the 2Eleven (and Scotty thanked him by not blocking Steve in the last race and let him pass easely :thumbsup

personally I was a bit disappointed not to see more northers supporters ! but we did our best to entertain him
(and make you lot feel sorry for not being there  )

Hi Bob,

I was torn between going and spending a weekend at home - decided on the latter in the end - which was just as well because Katie was ill all weekend! Shame I missed some more good racing, though - could perhaps have passed the odd spanner to SW too :-)

Cheers,
Robin

no need to hand spanners to SW, I tried to be helpfull but was not required and I found myself in the way a bit ;) SW mechanic did a great job.

except for cleaning the 2-Eleven, we had to improvide a bit.......

Good point, why would he have them on the wrong way?

In mountain biking, reversing a directional slick offers more grip on a soft surface.

Or maybe it's just a Jedi Mind Trick ;-)

Stunning result Scotty. :D

I had the kids' this weekend otherwise I would have been there cheering you on. Rachel has seen all the motorsport she ever wants to see after dragging her to several races last year.

Kelvin.
