"At the motor fair today the Scuderia Ecosse team had Ruben Barrichello's 2003 F1 Car doing some laps driven by Nathan Kinch.

What an awesome sight even though knockhill is short, tight and twisty he managed to go round in 43.14 averaging 108 mph with a top speed on the main straight in the 180's. Although unofficial there are reports that it was closely followed by a yellow S1 elise with a cracked rear clam"

Mac, :damnfunny

From what I have read it is FXX tomorrow and F1 car today, not both on both days.

Waiting to see the weather, then might go up tomorrow.

Both were on track today. FXX was blasting around on a couple of occasions. One of time it had Miss Scotland (who she??) as pax.

aye - was a cracking sight to behold - still surprisingly slow through Macintyres-Glenvargil but from there - oof.. seriously quick. Blinding along Brabham, very fast through Clarke's and then Over 160 along Railway.. 8) Fact he had to slow down for the back complex and Taylor's makes the time even more crazy.. :P and you get a lot closer than you do at say S'stone for the GP.

Best sound for me on the day between the FXX and Koneigseggggg.

and 112mph avg. for whole course.. wow!

What sound did the koenig thing make then? It sounded utterly pish when I saw it, quieter than an Elise with a std exhaust.

It wasn't the gutteral howl I thought it'd be and it wasn't loud, but it was interesting... Kind of a wheezing rumble, but not as crappy as that description sounds. I daresay that high on the options list is a 'special' zorst, to let it wail like it did on TG last week.

Seriously, it sounded sh*te when I saw it. I was standing on the start/finish straight just past the bridge so could hear it accelerating and braking but there was more wind noise off it than anything else. Most disappointing noise of the day for me.

Also, I thought the way they kept saying "fastest production car in the world at 242mph" was amusing cos all I heard was other people (and me) going "pity they didn't have the Bugatti" :P

Supercar procession was pretty boring as expected, though I'm sure the guy in the 911 GT3 RS was keen to drive like he normally does on track.

Actually, the only thing I really enjoyed was the F1, GT and FXX. The rest just seemed dull in comparison. Saw the McMerc SLR, doesn't do it for me at all, looks just like all the rest of the Mercs.
