From what he's saying though, it looks like they very well will have got the main section off without having to take the rear diffuser off (where the allen bolt is) The 8mm bolts he's talking about fix the front section to the rear section, so they will just have split that and left the rear section on.
BTW, I hope you replaced the sh*tey allen bolts with some nice hex head numbers?

Well , got new front suspension fitted at MMC this morning free of charge

.But the speedo is nae working now

.Probably just as well

It's hard to check the inner tie bushes when the rear section is still on though - it was an A service not just an oil change.

Piece o piss with a long enough screwdriver, on the S1 anyway.... Only thing you couldn't really look at would be the holes ovalising, but you'd really need to take them off for that and I'm sure they don't do that as part of an 'A'!
