Not sure if 'frauds do them, but it's a standard MGF part.

Just been thinking, there must have been a good 1 1/2" or 2" of pipe vanished from both ends of the silencer so the fumes were going no where near the tail pipes. Get this, it failed the MOT recently on emissions  Reckon the boy couldn't get a reading and just figured he'd fail it? Didn't really matter - I only booked it in to confirm I needed a steering rack

Hey Matt,
here's my 2p worth on taking the old one off, as I've just done it.
Go to halfrauds an buy Loctite Freeze & Release.
Car up on Ramps, remove undertray.
Keep grinder inbox but close to hand.....
starting at the cat intake end, lower bolt.
Spray loctite miracle worker onto bolt threads for 5 seconds. Leave approx 30 secs. Get deep socket & 10" breaker bar and will release easy.
Repeat for all cat intake end.
take off all hangers holding exhaust on. The one at cat exhaust end is a pain but will come with miracle spray making it easier.
the whole exhaust & cat can now be VERY carefully angled down & out. Its atight squeeze but it will come. I had the janspeed sport from the factory, not sure how that compares to yours though.
Once its out use the spray on the remaining bolts. I had to use the hacksaw on only one as the head was corroded round

The larini has 8mm plate flanges, which I noticed have deformed, I assume through the welding process....... I had to use exhaust gasket sealant with the gaskets to get a seal. Larini have been informed

Sould be getting my non squint one next week :D

Nice one, I'll give the Loctite Spray a shot. Shouldn't have any problem getting the old exhaust out though - its in two pieces already... :?

Cheers
