14 days, but police can use normal post so they get a few days grace for delivery - 17 days and you should be fine. However, sounds like you weren't passing a speed camera anyhow.ewanrw wrote:The NIP must be sent within 15 days of the offence. If you get one, contest it so it goes to court. The police need to give you the pictorial evidence at least 7 days in advance of the court date. However, 99% of the time they do not supply a copy of the picture to the defendant and therefore, their evidence is inadmissable and the case will be thrown out![]()
And the blue cameras are not active in that sense. They are to monitor traffic levels and cannot be used to aid prosecution for speeding offences.

Have fun in the new job

http://www.pepipoo.com has everything you always wanted to know about speeding and speed cameras but were afraid to ask.
Generally, if you do get ticket ask to see the photo so you can establish who was driving (you and your partner probably share the car making it hard for you to remember who was driving). I won't spell it out the rest is on the site.
From what you say though it sounds like they were Traffic masters so nothing to worry about.
With that many points get at least a GPS with speed camera warning though. They are only a coupel of hundred quid and you are protecting your job. Read Pepipoo anyway so if you get caught in the future at lest you are prepared..

Pete's right. Get something like an Origin B2 asap. It may be £300+ but it sure beats loosing your license. I'd been toying with getting one till I had similar moment to you (funnily enough on the A68 also!) and made the immediate call to get one asap!

It has saved me countless times allegedly.
Still to get the clam off to fit the laser jammer though
