Road Car or Race Car?

Jason MCRoy! Spent a weekend with him and Sophie Brooks in early 90s at NEMBA race in lambrough on tees, think it was 91 or 92. Scotty might have been there too. I was stoker for Jason on Rory Hitchens MTB tandem down the downhill track. Binned it twice, mixture of fear and awe... A young Steve peat was on a Kona hardtail that weekend going very quick. Jason was in tent next to us for he weekend, I was 16 then and he made a big impression. Friendly guy spent loads of time with us and I got my arse kicked by him on the dual slalom track. It was summer, ace weather, magic laugh, and just atmosphere in spades. Same group of us still pals to this day, bar one, who isn't with us anymore.

Sadly missed. But one of my favourite life memories, was a brilliant weekend.

To maintain the calender theme, I had the first MBR calender with a then Unknown Kelly Brook posing on every month.

I still love 20s 30s hot rods. High in my list of favourite cars would be a late 50s Chevy SWB pickup. Had many posters in my wall.

To answer shugs old question, I had a White Lamborghini countach road car and the same generic black panther poster. And then. Heap from American hot rod mags and MTB mags of the day. Raced then so had race numbers and acquired banners from various races...

Cars was through my dad, he had a 78 j9 golden eagle jeep (same as the fall guy) and a matra simca bagheera, which was not working more than it was working...

It was a moment of boredom on my part....an old trick I used to play on blatchat back in the day, try and choose an old thread which flowed date wise except the year. Oh the days flew by....
