I liked both TBH. There are much worse things your license fee is being spent on... :?

I thought it was alright. It looked like they were trying to re-create that episode in America (where they finished in New Orleans). Wasn't as good as the America one, but entertaining none the less.

Thinking that was the plan but as it turned but (unfortunatly for the producers) africa was safer and you got better cars. the beetle held up well.

I thought TG was good, you're all just miserable gits

LWD is excellent. LMAO at Ewen McGregor at the set of the original Star Wars "I arrogantly expected to be mobbed but no one recognised me"

Hugely staged, but entertaining all the same - like you'd consider a 26yr old Lancia for that task

Not seen LWD yet, but have it Sky plussed

The "wee car" last week was great and agree that this week was crap. What was the point of it all? Surely masses of cars could do the same thing! This week was far too staged.

I can't help feeling that a lot of people don't 'get' Top Gear.

Even if it was staged, does it matter? It was entertaining, and there's not a lot else I'd rather watch on TV.

I expected an entirely 'out of studio' episode as they were all doing that MPH show thing last week (and this week too?)

Long way down is good too.

Yet more relatively poor press for the Caparo T1 ... Has there actually been a test/press session that has gone smoothly?

I went right off the whole McGregor/Boorman thing after reading the first few chapters of the Long Way Round Book. They had a pickup truck with them all the way in support FFS! What kind of proper motorbike adventurers would do that? Its like going mountaineering but taking a helicopter along just in case - removes much of the challenge and really defeats the whole point.
