Some good research there.
IMO, the nicest car on SE. The Vantage is simply stunning.

Really appreciate your response and do like your attitude to the whole thing - clearly not a "sod it going in blind and screw the costs" but have at least reasoned them with yourself as far as possible.
I think that the car is a great option for you as you get to enjoy it every day. I am assuming that your commute isn't massive so fuel costs can be lived with. If I were to buy something like this it would be a second car and whilst that means potentially lower fuel costs, it makes it hard for me to live with the fact that £35k-£45k is sitting in the garage for 6 days a week.
If I do change I'll probably end up going down the safe option of getting an exige S, but could probably do with a change of brand. I did think porsche, but for some reason they just don't appeal that much to me. 911s are nice but the styling of the rear on the newer models looks a little bland to me. Also when I look on PH there are hunners of them for sale which in turn leads me back to the "how do I get rid of it" when the time comes.
All in all it still comes back to keeping the elise. It costs me virtually zero when I don't use it. It is good fun when I do use it and buttons to run in comparison to others on my wish list.
Enjoy your AM V8V and I look forward to seeing it at some point down the line.

Thanks Stewart... Completely agree with your 911 comments - it was on my list.... But not for long!
I don't commute in the Aston (get a lift into work most days) however it is out every other night so I do use it more than weekends!
I'm sure you'll make the right choice but as above, more than happy to let you have a good look round anytime

Very comfy!
Sat in the 07/08 seats and couldn't feel any difference to be honest! Might be different to drive mind you.
