25/45 brackets then mate? Are S2 dampers the same length as S1 :?

Anything else i should be buying for a suspension change over then?

Will give you a shout if you don't mind as i have no idea how to set them up

Are they fitted yet?! I will hold you to that. I'll be around the house tonight and most of tomorrow tackling jobs and chores, if you happen by.

Robin or Neil

As I am sending my Nitrons for a rebuild, what do you reckon is the best path to take? Was only looking at Nitron, then saw that Randy gives the same service, but Scotty said that he sends them off to Nitron, so to have a word with Walshy first.

Would love to go for the full Hoffmans set up but can not afford that, so it will have to be the standard rebuild which is still £280.

Tut, it is very expensive to upgrade normal nitrons to hofman or stevie spec, so your probably best just to rebuild your as is, assuming your springs are ok.#

Campbell, havent got the dampers yet, hopefully sometime this week, and get them fitted by the end of the week (if all goes to plan)

I have the S2 LSS on mine and bought the mounts from Eliseparts, The S2 LSS are height adjustable but I think they are indeed longer so the brackets move the mounting point higher up if I remember correctly.. mine is at SLS if you want to have a look... i wanted mine lower but the spring seems to come away from the seat when there is no load on it when you lower it too much, I have mine set so the adjustable collar is about half way up the shock to allow a decent amount of travel so they don't bottom out to much and and the springs dont loose tension when the car is lifted or becomes light or airbourne. I think Steve Butts has different brackets to suit different ride heights, not sure though, you'll find him on SELOC. All the best mate

Mark :cheers

The last few weeks have been 1 step forward 2 steps back with the Elise but seem to be getting there slowly now, hopefully in time for Saturday when we head to Dover!

First up BIG :thumbsup to Dan from SPS for going out has way on a Sunday to fit a new AP clutch kit and release arm with only 24 hours notice!! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup The release bearing had gone and i had been told they can go at any point so with 3000+ hard miles looming i thought it would be best to get it done and from what Dan was saying it was lucky i did  .

Also serviced the car with the father-in-law so oil and filter change, fuel filter change which looked like it had been on a while as it was seized and the fuel that came out was black!, Plug change, distributor cap and rotor arm replaced and a new brake light switch fitted.

Also managed to fit my Carbotech's XP8's all round, so looking forward to trying them on track

To do before Sat, fit my S2 LSS suspension which hopefully i will be picking up tomorrow all going to plan and then try and set up the ride heights followed by a geo on Wednesday. And finally fit 2 wheel bearings
