:wave Still here!!! I'll start with a blanket statement don't book with Virgin, hugely disappointed  They have litle or no support here in Florida. I've been at their office everyday since a week past Friday (due home last Saturday) and have been promised/fed all sorts of false hopes/infomation.

Took the bull by the horns and booked flights with US Airways from Orlando-Philedelphia-Dublin-Edinburgh bit of an epic but we'll be home Tuesday. Realistically with Virgin it will be next weekend at least :?

We are here with our in laws and father in law was due to have a biopsy for bladder cancer yesterday. To put it in perspective though, there is a guy in the queue every morning that has a son with cerebal palsy asking to go home or have medication supplied and he is still here. Due to go home 2 days before us.

The perception is that Virgin is a professional firm but that's not the case. I'm not being dramtaic, sensationalist or provocational. When i say there is no info there is absolutely no info. Mr Branson hang your head in shame matey...........................................................

See you all soon :thumbsup

P.S. Campbell if you are near Highway 27 drop in for a beer mate :D

Wonder if they'll open up Disney and SeaWorld for free for us then!

Having a ball, weather here, wish you were all lovely :thumbsup

(91 degs today...still 86 and it's 23.30 at the mo...)

Saw the Shuttle Atlantis on the launchpad 39B today. Really mental when you think about it. Kids couldn't have cared less but we were impressed

Neat.

Alistair was watching this for our flight outbound a couple of weeks ago, think he knew we'd landed before we did :-)

All I know is that the morning flight is definitely cancelled. Probably try and drive down to LHR tomorrow morning as that may be the place to be if when things eventually start moving again. Did think about the train but it is £140 each Flights are BMI & Virgin.

Ho hum :(
Well the volcano put paid to last year's Indycar trip. Tomorrow morning I am supposed to be flying across to see the Indy 500. Not looking good. :(

So far have booked euro tunnel to try and catch the Paris-chicago leg of the flight.

Aircraft landing at PIK this mornin despite what's being reported, and we've an engine on test at the moment; I don't think the ash is quite with us here yet.

Meant to be flying up to Edinburgh on Friday from Brum.

So far flights to Dundee and Aberdeen are cancelled - hopefully Edinburgh will be okay :(
