Liam at Glenburgie Subaru should be able to help.

be careful if you're buying a block which is out of a car - they don't like sitting with no oil in them, can't remember why but basically, make sure it's been stored filled with oil

I'd give Liam a call as a first point of contact. Might be worth getting the car remapped safely for UK fuel once the new bottom end goes in, as the earlier Jap spec cars are prone to the big end bearings letting go, especially if run on normal unleaded, at high speed/high revs/high temps a lot, and especially if they have some exhaust/intake mods. ECU can control det to some extent up to about 6k rpm.

Thanks guys, hes wondering if its a big job changing the heads himself. Are they just the same as doing inline engines or are there little differences hed have to be aware of. If thats the case hed probably look for a complete engine.
