I'm mechanically incompetent, so i'm paying some people who arent to do it for me. :D But thanks for the offer ninja. As for the engine plans. Well, i'll keep you in suspense for now. I did have an idea for what to do. but i have changed my mind sooo many times now its unbelievable. Put it this way. what i want isnt in any other car just now.

Shug, my personal experience was for some british car club (cant rember the name, thats how much attention people pay to things stuck on there car) and i binned it immediately. just seems like a waste of money to me. but go ahead. i prefer just to speak to people as and when i meet them.

also, its no bad thing that the only people on here are the ones who want to be here. and its also a select few. Look at how SELOC has turned out with more members.

Okay mate - fair points. But a healthy club is one where you've got a constant flow of new members to stem the natural occurrences of people drifting away.

Now, you're not saying that you're 100% representative of everyone who might want to know about a site like this, are you?

Advertising isn't about individuals, it's about numbers - the percentages say that for everyone who bins the leaflet there may be one who reads it (although it's more like 10-1). But if anyone thinks it's a crap idea, let me know - I don't want to slog away on something to find out I'm the only one thinking it'll do anything!!

How about asking Pauline if she could sneak a leaflet into the cars she sells?

I can see your point neil but TRS gets a load of new members through flyers and i reckon some people would appreciate being nudged in the right direction.

Thats a slightly better idea, although Graeme already mentions the yahoo site when he sells cars. Or he did to me anyway

I think there was one taken last night that might turn out quite good and may be suitable for a 'flier'

Cool - I'm going to try and make a start over the weekend if I get two minutes... I'll post up some rough ideas when they're ready.
