Wheel wrench

Post by tut » Wed Mar 21, 2007 6:18 pm

Someone mentioned bone domes from Lidles recently. Went in today and saw this wheel nut wrench. 17 or 19mm, seems well made and weighty, telescopic handle, all for the ridiculous price of £1.99.

How can they possibly produce them at that price other than slave labour, when there are probably three middlemen making a profit before I pay for it?

However it is the sort of tool that everybody needs, just keep it in the boot, and never miss a track day again.

Still can not believe how blinkered I was that my problem was only from the left front wheel. Scotty said that he could see the right one wobbling when he followed me back to the Hotel, and I could feel that it seemed to be coming from the right, but I was convinced that it was a result of transmission from the left.

At anytime I could have checked those wheel nuts, and yet it never occured to me.

So much for 150,000 + miles of Elise ownership..............

Would also make a useful `chib` should you find yourself in Glasgow being accosted by a local gang. :D

Don't go buying one if you have an S2 though or you'll find it totally useless.

Sell the S2, buy an S1, then buy the wrench with the £1.99 difference..........

Cos it won't be a deep/narrow enough socket to fit the rear wheels.

But it would be okay if you had the original bolts still in, with the 'special' key.

Good point. But if you still have that, it will break eventually ;)

Although I'm still not sure it'll reach with the locking nut.

Don't think its fair to say S2s are totally useless. There just not as good as S1s
