Any good deals on Sky plus?

Post by skellyjohn » Fri Mar 09, 2007 5:14 pm

As I'm a stay at home dad at the moment, i'm looking to get Sky plus. Don't really want all the channels, just a basic one. I dont have Sky at the moment, just freeview.

How / where /when do i get a good deal?

If you don't have all the channels, it'll cost you a tenner a month for the sky+ features so you're as well getting a package that includes it in the cost.
Just go to sky.com, they usually have the best deal.

you only need to get 2 premium channels in order to get Sky+ for free... I decided to drop a lot of the crap, so now I have Sky Sports 1 & 3... dropped 2 cos it's always cricket or rugby.

For movies, I have all the odd numbers, 1,3,5,7,9... They also gave me multiroom for £5 because I cancelled it (wasn't really using the channels in the other room so was a waste of £10. 4mths later a letter arrived asking us to activate multiroom again for £5 p/m. OK.

One thing I will say... I don't find my Sky+ box to be very robust. 2yrs old now and after the magic 12mths, the recordings have become quite jittery... sometimes the pause function will not then playback... or it pauses for 20-odd mins and when you play back you've lost some of it. I'm holding off for HD to come down in price, as the HD box includes all the Sky+ features also.
I have no signature.
