Elise as a workbench
Elise as a workbench
Busy TRYING (one disaster after another) to fit a new kitchen and needed about 4inches of waste pipe for the sink. So off I go to B&Q to find they only sell it in 2m lengths, hmm 2m of pipe + elise + hardtop = not really going to work. So I went and asked the lovely lady at customer services if its possible if someone could cut it as it wouldn't fit in my car. She went and checked with the manager, came back and said we're not insured to do that, you'll have to do that yourself outside. Strange I thought, insured to cut wood but not plastic pipe. Oh well.
Not to be defeated, I went to the tool section and bought a cheapo jnr hacksaw and then got my pipe. Went outside to the car, opened the passenger door, fed the pipe through, knelt on the sill and pipe and cut the pipe in half, then place it in the passenger side. The car park was full, so needless to say I was getting some strange looks and pointy fingers.
Who say's the Elise is not practical!!!

hehe
i did something similar.
got plastic to make the protection thingy for the rear window.
the plastic was too big to fit in the car - roof on or off - was too wide.
so i was in the car park cutting it in half
once cut, in the car and away you go.
life is more interesting with an elise =)

I was planning to, but the weather up here is really pish at the mo. Typical, during the two months I couldn't drive there were plenty of roof off days, which the hardtop would be off for the year, but since I started driving again the weather has turned pishRICHARDHUMBLE wrote:Sorry![]()

Reminds me last year, down in edin picking something up at MMC, my dad phones and asks me to pop to ikea and pick him up something for his kitchen. So off I go to ikea and pick up this extractor fan for him, only after I bought it, I thought, oh will this fit in the boot. I told the g/f if it didn't she have to have it on her knee all the way up the road to my folks, to then receive the look of death
