I saw a large tank at my work that appeared not to be getting used. It is really big and I am sure due to the MT section being closed in March could be had at a reasonable rate if you have a flatbed with some kind of lift to move it . I can make enquiries tonight if your serious.

Problem is that my existing one has gunk at the bottom and I need one so fast it aint funny as there might be 2MW of gennys sucking it dry ....

The one I have is a loaner until my actual one arrives but that is not till March and we are changing filters on the gens every 6 hours.

Get two of those little central heating ones that hold about 1 cube then also get a pump and a filter pack then transfer fuel into the two tanks use one and let the other settle.

sh*t fuel is something i know about also if you have stuff that looks like snot then you might have a bug in which case need to get some bug killer

I have been told it is particulates, we have put pre filters on prior to the gens and this was still letting stuff through and then clogging the gens own filters and fuel starvation.

Doubled the filtering prior and it is not hitting the gens own filters but as a result we are having to change filters in the middle of the night.

Bug ?

I have just made a phone call . The tank was used for holding de-ice fluid and the tank is fibreglass lined so has no corrosion . The maximum capacity is 13000 litres and its on the disposal list . The guy at MT said if you make an offer he can see if its acceptable to the guys down in London or he can ask how much they want for it .They also have a large fork lift to lift it on to a lorry .

:!: Be very careful with old tanks as possibly not double bunded. If you get a leak SEPA arrive and throw the book at whoevers caused it. 1litre alone in a water course can cause problems miles away. Get a tank from LCH generators (part of Speedy Hire now) Good service.
