SE Sim Racers

Post by Mikie711 » Mon Feb 09, 2026 6:03 pm

Bit of a punt but I am guessing that there are a fair few on here that are Sim racing either on consul or PC or indeed both. I have been off an on since GT5 and recently decided to get back into it.
So who else is sim racing currently or has a rig collecting dust in the corner?

My son invests much of what he earns into his rig. He is sooo much faster than I am I reckon I retired! 🤣

He races iRacing, Assetto Corsa and a few other things. All Steam/PC based.

I sim race, though recently only with a group of friends and only on a Monday night.

Right now, I'm only playing GT7 on PS5, mainly due to time, other hobbies and my other group who I raced Assetto Corsa Competizione (on PC) with moving on from ACC to, well, nothing right now.

I have a permanent but theoretically movable rig set up, but it's always in place, so it's basically permanent. Slightly less than ideal 65inch TV, aluminium profile, seat from an Alfa Giulia QV, Fanatec kit, base transducers for vibration (no motion!).

Far I as I can tell there is a good half dozen or so guys with rigs. Some of them pretty sophisticated set ups. We need to sort a club room somewhere.
