Fast and Furious

Post by ExigeKen » Thu Nov 02, 2006 12:56 am

I have just watched "The Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift" on DVD and whilst it does not have the most intriguing story it does have some absolutely wicked cars, loads of girls with very short skirts and the most amazing drift driving you could imagine. It is a teenage boys dream and yes I know that I am not a teenager as my son is in the last of his teenage years  There is also some real cool extras on the DVD showing you the stunt men driving the cars :drive

Has anyone else seen this film :?: I wonder if drift driving was inspired by driving an Exige in the wet on A048s it certainly looks that way.

Good to hear after watching 2F2F where most of the shots were CG!

Pretty sure I saw somethign on this and they used Driftchampions for a lot of it. THe scene they showed was some lad in a looney 350z sideways up a ramp of a multi story. No CG there.

According to the extras on the DVD the driving was real. The main drift driver in Japan is in the film as an extra he is one of the two guys fishing on the pier. Apparently he had problems pretending to get it wrong when the main character was learning to drift.
