Errm. I'd started a new job. A couple of weeks in I was a little punctual, screamed into the car park (Saab 900 turbo), jumped out and ran in.

Looking into the car park 10 minutes later and I see my car is at the other end to where I had left it, at the bottom of a slope, nuzzling gently against my new boss's car.

So could be worse.
Doh!

Did you stay in that job for long?

 , you appear to have a very understanding boss , it would seem like its a good place to stay. :)

That's annoying!!

I always park in gear after my first car ran down my mums drive and smashed through the garage door!!

I thought Saabs had to be in reverse to remove the key??

Sorry to hear this - reminds me many moons ago when my Integrale tried to make a bid for freedom backwards down a mates drive, the big stone bollard at the bottom stopped it going onto the street....the left rear blistered arch peeled open a bit

I had a work colleague that was killed by a runaway car that the handbrake slipped on......

A right PITA to fix so soon after the grief you have had over the front clam repair but could have been so much worse if someone had got hurt......

Katie ran herself over with her own car back in Uni days. She had parked it at the top of a hill, handbrake on but didn't quite engage in the ratchet (rubbish car). As she walked down the hill and crossed the road, the car rolled down, picked her up and slammed her into a parked car (which was written off, also quite rubbish car). She was lucky - the combination of rubbish cars folded around her leaving a V-shaped dent in both cars - still took months before her legs were back to normal!

We have an automatic now ...

Cheers,
Robin

Finally got my car back today and looking really good.
Took 4 months for a clam to arrive then spent the next nearly 6 months waiting on silly wee brackets and grills to arrive.
Just need to get it MOT'd after I come back from Vancouver then looking forward to a summer of roof of blasts.
