John Surtees

Very sad to hear about the death of John Surtees.

I doubt any one will ever be world champion on 2 wheels and 4 ever again.

The courage he showed after his son Henry's accident was incredible.

A truly great man.

My era as well, though a few years older.

Never really watched him racing a bike, but used to watch him live on track with Moss, Brabham, Clark, Hill, Stewart etc.

Had the opportunity to have a very brief chat with him at Goodwood during an autograph session. He was a complete gent and very willing to give his time to all of the fans (although sadly a lot of people did not realise his accomplishments).

Definitely by missed and agree that I can't see anyone else accomplishing 4/2 wheel world championships again.
