I've just been refused a claim by D&G. Currently awaiting on the road reports. They are fools, as they told me in the letter, the crater was noted and on their horizon at my time of claim, and was subsequently repaired. 3 months now, and its still not been repaired lol.
I have photos over the full period, with an email trail telling them how negligent they have been, as I nearly came of my motorbike due to it, damaging the wheel. So they new in October about a major hazard, and by end of January had still not repaired it lol.

So HBOAG, this is very good information you have posted. Out of interest MisterK, where exactly is the hole you hit. I know there are probably plenty, but the one I hit is fecking huge.

One of those cases where an onboard camera would certainly help your argument without all the bullsht back and forth.

I'd be going along one evening with a can of that special yellow spray marking paint. Ring the pot hole, put a great big arrow pointing towards it and the word "POTHOLE" in 2ft letters across the carriage way. They'll be along the next day to fix it...
If you need to go even faster, just imagine you are me.

Mine was on the A702 heading to Moniaive from Thornhill (about 1mile to Moniaive). Just submitted the claim form so may be a while before I hear...

The father of a mate always carries a couple of cans of spray paint in his car. If he spots a road that has been marked up for repairs he goes over it and similarly marks up lesser blemishes so the repair crew will do them too....
