Car Storage

Post by Cammy » Thu Oct 26, 2006 7:27 pm

Does anyone know the best place to source one of those cocoon type storage pods for the car.
The car is kept in the garage, but it's quite damp so need something to seal it up over the winter.
Don't want to spend over the odds, it only has to serve a purpose.

Cheers

If you have a google around a number of places sell the Carcoon, all at similar prices. I have got one and it is very effective, but if I was buying again I think I would go for this alternative http://www.airflow-uk.com/air-chamber.htm , the main advantage being that it does not collapse over the car when deflated, and you can drive the car in/out. Neither are cheap though, and if it is a small garage a dehumidifier might be a better bet.

B&Q on the Kingways were selling off display model dehumidifiers, they had one that looked like the Best Buy from a Practical Classics magazine article for £75. Prices have tumbled from last year.
