@Tut , sorry for the ambiguity. I was convinced it at the time it was a ticket due to the speedo and the "if you see it, it sees you rule" which may explain my account of the event above. Seems I had nothing to worry about. Either way it was a wake up call. Thanks for your support here. Scott.

Got heads up from the other side of the road too but didn't twig.
Thought I'd been nabbed last month southbound on the A90 between Dundee & Perth - I'm generally very careful, but frustration got the better of me after following a slow moving lorry for 7-8 miles, and when he finally decided to move back into lane one I dropped a gear and gunned it past, only to spot the scamera van in this lay-by - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/56% ... d-3.373376

Hit the brakes hard, but reckoned they'd got me - Cue a nervous wait for a few weeks, but it's over 5 weeks now and nothing, so I think I'm safe :)

Going to use the Waze app more often - I believe it's pretty effective at highlighting scam van locations....sorry "accident black spots" :thumbsup

As above Ross, as it is all computerised with no [human intervention] you would receive it within four days.

Since they constantly push the safety angle on speeding, surely taking more than a reasonable few days to contact / fine someone is some sort of negligence..

That was exactly the location. I find it hard to identify the spot prior to coming over the hill by which time your are in sight of the van. Will have a look at Waze too. Thanks :thumbsup
