Chilcott report (NLC)

Post by tonyg » Tue Jul 05, 2016 1:24 pm

So is anyone expecting anything important to be said by this or (like me) are we expecting it to be the most expensive bucket of whitewash in history?

How history is written often defines it not by what happened, I suspect that will be very much the case here.

Wonder if anything will be learned by it...

I remember at the time having arguments at work about the pro's and con's of going to war. I was pro war on the basis that Tony and his government must know what they were doing and could be trusted to do what's best. I lived to regret that assumption, and would always take 'trust' and 'personalities' out of the equation today.

We never learn, and I wonder if I'll live long enough to see the report on Brexit!
