It takes a while to get used to the fact this doesn't really work on a Lotus of the Elise variant type. I came from fast/tuned saloon/hatchback cars etc where the lower you got all that weight to the ground the better the handling. And maybe it was a bit form over function too. But in a Lotus it doesn't really work like that. You have double wishbone suspension and all the weight is down low already. When I bought my Elise it was absolutely on the deck, maybe F85-R95. It was not good to drive at all even though on Nitrons etc. Standard is in the 125mm territory. I brought it up to F105-R115 and it transformed the handling. It was still a 'little' lower than standard so looked better but I hadn't compromised it too much. Some will say that's still too low. Funnily enough the next Lotus I bought had the same issue. It had been lowered too far causing issues. That's now sorted too.rawsco wrote: I think personally my first change would be to fit better shocks and drop it an inch but I can't do that.

Nought wrong with Nitrons or equiv shocks though if you're doing track a lot. Just don't slam the car down just cause you can.
