I have a guy that I use from Kirkcaldy - he's looked after our roof for years; I suspect his pricing is a bit hit and miss, but given the treatment you're getting from others he might actually be worth contacting (Aberdeen perhaps too far away, but Perthshire might be in his catchment). Drop me a PM if you want his number and I'll dig it out.
Cheers,

Re: Roofer - Aberdeen
Not exactly a recommendation, but I know someone who took over his dad's company and they are a well established roofing company - Alexander Law. They have been around for a long time, so should be keen on retaining a good reputation. I don't know about value and haven't used them myself, but I was planning to give them a call to look at a section of slate roof I plan to replace.
Re: Roofer - Aberdeen
Just to feed back on this, I used Kris and he's done a great job of the roof at a far better price than the cowboys who did it the last time. One of the things I instantly liked about him was he actually went up on the roof for a look before quoting. He came back down with a few photos to show how poor a job the previous lot had doneoffshorematt wrote:On topic though, I recently needed a gable end soffit painted and gutters cleared but due to the height access issues, couldn't find a painter to touch it. One of them put me in touch with a polish lad who was actually a roofer - did a cracking job of the painting etc. Fast, efficient, good price, etc. I haven't used him for roofing (yet) but no reason to doubt him - name was Kris (kodrzyckik26@gmail.com).

Thanks for the recommendation!
