Short notice - Knockhill Track Night - Wednesday 8th June

Post by JohnStewart » Mon Jun 06, 2016 11:39 am

I know it's short notice, but I know a few of you were interested in additional track time this year :)

I've been invited to take photos at a private track night on Wednesday 8th June at Knockhill between 6pm and 8pm, and it turns out there are only 17 cars taking part so far. They were looking for 20 in total cars to take part so there are 3 slots available (maybe 1 or 2 more to cover no-shows). The event is booked by Will Robson of WR Tuning and will be mostly Ford cars taking part (his customers and guests), with a few other invited cars. The cost is slightly more than the average track night at £120, but this is due to the restricted numbers of cars taking part.

Given the very low numbers of cars taking part - the track will mostly likely be empty most of the evening. If anyone is interested, they should email Will directly on wrtuning@hotmail.co.uk asap.

The weather forecast so far is looking 100% dry :)

John

Thanks John, my father in law has an Alpha 4C and was looking for a quiet day at Knockhill to try it on track.

He's also interested in some photos :cheers

Email sent, hopefully have spaces.

I'll look out for him on track - not seen a 4C in the flesh yet :)

There is a group buy on photos if he is interested - £30 gets a CD with all the photos of your car form the event, plus either two A3 prints or three A4 prints including P&P.

Was a good night, but it looks like you are impersonating Tut with the "look no hands" technique when he sees me :D

had a brilliant night! looking forward to seeing the snaps/gallery John :thumbsup

Alan - your F-I-Ls 4c is absolutely stunning!

totally different track in reverse...better IMO. Good tracktime last night too with only 22 cars... standard of driving was pretty decent, if not a bit slow by this forums standards!!

I'd happily pay £120 again for 2 hours for an evening session that only had c.20 cars - looking back at the vid-action I managed 7 laps at one point without coming across any other cars!

Yep, the 4C is Lovely. He was very nervous so toodling around. Desperatly wanted a shot, pass some of the Evos and RS's !!!!! but he wasn't keen.

What didn't help was miss judging the length of the back straight on the first lap, he thought Clarks was a continuation of the straight and nearly hit it at over 100mph - A few loud shreeks and wavey arms from me alerted of the imminent danger....

Alpha invited us down to Millbrook last weekend, test driving the coupe and the spider. It's a properly quick car and capable car (and the alpine track is a hoot)

I've uploaded a selection of low-res shots to my website here: http://www.flatoutphotography.com/gallery3/2016/WR

There's also higher res ones on facebook (you don't need an account to view - just to comment and like etc): https://www.facebook.com/FlatOutPhoto/p ... 6036922629
