Random request - Anyone able to shot blast MTB forks?

Post by Jam_s160 » Fri May 20, 2016 3:42 pm

Hi all,

I've got an old pair of MTB Rockshox fork legs I'm looking to repaint myself. I'm wondering if anyone local to Aberdeenshire would be willing to shot blast or sand blast them FOC for me? So I can create a decent base to start re painting them. Im restoring an old MTB from the 90's

Anyone local able to help?

cheers

James

This is a mate of mine. Definitely be able to help.

If anyone needs anything cleaned/blasted oop north he could help. Does all sorts.

Cheers

Gav.

Edit - He's in Banff so not too far.

Edit edit - dunno about free though.

On Gav recommendation I went to see Matthew in Banff and he was super helpful/ well equipped to strip the paint, corrosion and dirt from a few pieces I took with me. He did them all on the spot while I hung around nattering to him.

Totally recommend him!

I'll certainly use him for engine parts when I come to restore my two old mini 1275 gt.
