Tut. The company I work for presently has an office in Sunnyvale and prior to that Cupertino. Not in the high tech business but know the area well and can source advice from real people staying and working there.I get to Sunnyvale 4 or 5 times annually. Next time in April and after that in June then probably in Oct. Have been going there on regular basis for the past 20 years. It is not a cheap place to stay but the quality of life is 2nd to none in the Bay area. M

The Visa is dragging it out, they only give out so many working ones a year so looks as if there will be a delay. Would have thought that Google would just slip them a brown envelope.

Visa petition is ready and will be couriered to the USCIS today so everyone cross your fingers and toes.

Also I've been asked to do a second interview with Amazon for the job in Luxumbourg (Senior Financial Analyst)... which is cool cos I thought I'd screwed it up and it actually sounded really interesting and would make a good backup if Google falls through for any reason.

Anyway, that's my news. Last day in the office today. Supposed to be flying to Iraq on 3rd April (it was the 1st but HR/agents are useless)... but they've still not booked my flights and now I'm in an argument with them about my demob flight so I may end up coming home on 3rd April and not starting till May (which is totally cutting off my nose to spite my face but I'm very very over these people). Can't wait to tell them where to stick their job!
