The wall of death was OK but ti did feel like a Blue Peter item stretched to fill a couple of hours...

Any idea why it said "Kirmo" on his leathers?

An impressive feat but they obviously expected he was going to do it or it wouldn't have gone out live. Not sure if Kirmo is reference to Kirmington where he lives?
I like that he is so down to earth and was surprised how pumped he was after the final run.

I suspect he needed to be told to stop. He'd have kept doign it until he hit 80. Later he was describing the wobble he had on the last run as a black out, waking up to realise he was still on the wall of death. The 78.1 mph record looked pretty much like the limit of human endurance for that kind of thing no?

Open throttle.

Hang on tight.

How hard can it be?

I though it was good entertainment, but not sure how meaningful a record it will turn out to be. All you need to do is build a bigger wall than the one before, or wear a g suit - or both.

But it was interesting to see how high his G tolerance was. In my flying instructing days, I struggled to maintain vision with a sustained 4 G, so 6+ was quite a feat and I suspect was the result of some intensive training that was not part of the TV programme.

The tests for the F1 episode were farcical and this 1hr 45 min episode could easily have been done in an hour which would have made it a lot more enjoyable. Not sure I'll bother with any more of these.
