eBay scam.
eBay scam.
I have 500 100% positive feedbacks mostly from buying, and never had a problem.
However I just ordered an electronic nail care kit for Verian's birthday next week. Just after the payment went through, eBay mailed me to say it had been withdrawn from the listing and they were investigating. I e-mailed "DMANDEEPSINGH"to see if there was any chance of receiving it and got this in reply.
"Hii i will send u 2 just buy onther thing from me .. Like tech21 case £12.99" He had 100% feedback with 140 reviews, probably written by himself. Just replied to him " I hope your f.....g turban catches fire whilst you are wearing it." Not very PC but I will now have to go into Boots to buy one. eBay have been excellent in handling it and no problem with a refund.

Re: eBay scam.
He has just refunded me back into Paypal, which makes no sense unless it was a scam and he is trying to protect his eBay rating.
It still looks as if it had been genuine I would have received the item as opposed to offering two as long as I bought something else from him. The kit was £40 from Boots, £19 from Amazon, and £14.50 from him, low but not suspiciously so for a one off genuine sale.

Re: eBay scam.
Verian bought me an Alcohoot for my 75th, obviously she went to AMP3 but it was not shown on the site, so she bought one on eBay. I don't think she knew the retail price and I have never known her buy from eBay before, but it was new and boxed at £50.
Unfortunately it would not work with my iPhone4 which Andy said it should have, nor a 5S, 6 or Clare's Samsung 6, just read zero. No problem with the seller, her husband had received it in a gift back and did not need it, and she had her own little business so just put it on for sale cheaply. As such neither I nor she can get a replacement under warranty, but she sent me a refund and told me just to keep the item.

ps:- just thought of a plan, any guesses?

Re: eBay scam.
He might not have had any choice, it might have been automatic from PayPal.
Re: eBay scam.
Tut,
I suggest you list it on eBay as an unwanted present

Re: eBay scam.
You better make sure they don't have batch serial tracking before you do that ... or else you could be caught out and end up being charged with fraud!

Re: eBay scam.
Verian would not allow me to anyway Robin, just wondered who else's mind ran along the same lines, and as you say I would not take a chance with the serial number.
However I would not feel too guilty, the item was BNIB so should be covered by the Warranty. If you had received one from a relative in Aussie for Xmas that did not work, you would reasonably expect to be able to return it for a replacement or refund.

And that's why I would never even consider this sort of nefarious scheme.
