Dent Removal due to lowlife - Edinburgh

Post by douglasgdmw » Mon Nov 30, 2015 9:52 am

Folks,

Just wondering whether anyone can recommend a good dent removal company (and possibly who do touch up) in the Edinburgh area.

So low life tried to break into the 335D in my wife's works car park and has made a ham fisted job of it, knackered the trim and put 2 dents in the passenger door (one with has cracked the paint) and scratched the privacy glass.

Went to Eastern at the weekend and waiting for the estimate but they indicated that if its insurance then they would just replace the door/glass/trim !!! No wonder everyone's insurance is so much !!!!

The hassle these low lifes involved is infuriating. Also annoyed that they guys don't put some effort into there "occupation" and do some research so that they realise they can't get into a car with deadlocks, smash a window its so much quicker to get what you want and easier to repair !!!

Eastern's budget section Car Deal Warehouse used to use a guy. One of the usual Dentmaster or Chipsaway franchises. Might be worth asking again.

Had a quick look on Pistonheads and noticed a thread about dent removal so managed to get a couple of numbers from that :) However nothing beats real life experience of the guys on here as at least you will get an honest answer.

What I forgot to add is, the guy they used sorted a stack of blemishes on our first MINI. I was seriously impressed.

Have you tried Willowbrae?
Not sure if they tackle smaller jobs like that, but worth a call.

Bummer - You need a more visual deterrent...

...But seriously, depending on the damage, a 'proper' bodyshop might be a better bet. (A friend had a mobile repair franchise attempt to repair some vandal damage, and they made it 10 x worse - I guess it depends on the skill of the franchisee!)
