Escape to the Country

Post by Kelvin » Mon Oct 19, 2015 1:45 pm

One of the barns in our development is being considered for a telly programme. Just got back from walking our dog to find a battle worn BMW parked across my front path. Well spoken woman of a certain age gets out and starts firing questions at me like I'm the gardener. No hello how are you or introduction or apology for abandoning her car in front of my three cars blocking them all in. We were told by the developer last week about the telly programme so I guessed where she was from so made no effort to stop Boris, our mud covered flat coat, climbing into her white leather upholstered motor and clambering all over her paperwork. She then proceeds to tell me how sh*t the village looks. I replied that it's possible the villagers didn't know you were coming and then mentioned that the ATM machine was ripped out of the wall a few weekends ago so it's a bit rough.

lol.

They didn't stay long I noticed so I don't think the barn will feature on the programme. What doubly pissed me off was an email from the developer telling (not asking) us to make sure our car barns were tidy as the TV people were coming. I was away at the weekend, had I been home I'd have left the mud covered quad and sh*t filled trailer out front. The programme is Escape to the Country after all. It'll be interesting to see how they all behave if it does feature on the TV.
