Not sure what happened to him, but feel it is time that he retired from downhill suicide and got back to cars.

Some people just do not know how to age gracefully.

Helloooooo!

Just saw this and well, I'm still alive and well.
Just recovered from my last skateboarding accidents/surgeries and about to change my life radically in many ways (and no, I'm not having a sex change Tut! :p )

But part of the changes would be to sell my beloved Exige :(
I know how could I? My stomach churns at the idea but... I just can't see how it fits in my new life.

So, finally going to change that dry and cracked oil hose and use it a few more times.
But if you guys happen to know of anyone interested on it, tell them to get in touch :)

Hi Uldis, glad to hear you are still in one piece. Funnily enough I considered selling this year for probably similar reasons. In the end decided to make it more standard and see if I might use it more.

Uldis,

Glad to hear that you are safe and we'll :)

Can you also give me details of your Exige as I know someone who may be interested.

Hi Paul, George and Kerry :)

The car has got a very well documented life online, here and in Exiges.com
It's an S1 Exige, 2001, non AC model which has had only one owner :) (but I bought it pre-registered as it was an unsold car and needed to be registered otherwise it would be affected by the emissions law changes)

My car has been involved in many debates because it was one of the first KingK tuned engines.
And to be fair it has been a very good engine, producing at one time 220 BHP but with a very loud Tubular exhaust (115db!) which saw me blackflagged on a couple of trackdays.
Reverted back to a quieter one (Tubular again) which dropped the power to 206. If there was a mod to be done would be to replace this exhaust probably with the tried and tested Eliseparts one.
Still, not too shabby :)

It's got 3-way Nitrons and 600# springs (iirc), ideal for track, but on the road unless you're going at a pretty good nick they feel a bit stiff.
CR gearbox with a Quaife LSD
Custom ventilated front discs (see my brake modifications and pics in Exiges.com)
Upgraded Oil cooler and remote thermostat
Bigger CF airbox and longer trumpets
Programmable ECU
Removable steering wheel, digital gauges and some other stuff that I can't remember.
Ah, and a stereo :D

I also have a few other bits and bobs: complete UCR gearbox, Motorsports rear engine cover and roof (roof is unpainted) and a set of Magnesium Speedline wheels (with tyres, but probably needs new rubber)

And that's it.
It hasn't run the last few years because the oil hoses were dried up and cracking, needed to change them and I never did.
Life got in the way and the car is still sat there in the dehumidified garage and under its felt cover.

Time now to change those hoses and at least have a couple of runs before I sell it.

So, Paul, George, send me a PM if you need more info :)

Hi Uldis and good to hear you have recovered.

Are you changing your life by retiring from extreme skateboarding then ;-)

I've been a keen reader of your past posts since becoming an owner myself. I've always said that my dream wheels are Speedline magnesiums, I suspect that sadly they will fetch a premium I couldn't match. The car sounds astounding....:thumbsup
