Think Tut should do it, but there may be a health and safety issue with the BBC on the "No Footwear" clause in his contractFerg wrote:As was announced this morning, who's going to do a 30 sec piece to camera and apply to be a presenter?

Re: Chris Evans - Top Gear Update...
I think Evans is effing clever. This achieves a couple of things - it lets him diffuse the speculation about co-presenters, it essentially spells out that he's looking to largely re-vamp the format and he might get lucky and spot a good newcomer that could be "one of us" to a lot of the viewer base.
In an ideal world, I think he'd handle the studio stuff himself, perhaps with a co-presenter/foil like TFI, and hand off to filmed segments from a pool of contributing presenters. Perhaps a Tiff or Potato for the track supercar tests, a tom ford type (not him, but the more 'normal' bloke angle - this could be the audition winner) for road tests, plus more specialist stuff with perhaps a Guy Martin - he's already twittered about more bike content, trips to the TT, that sort of thing.
One thing he does have is a keen finger on the pulse - so I'm genuinely excited to see what he'll do with the show.
