Does anyone still think this is a good idea?

(Yes, I'm watching Question Time again. Might have got a bit shouty.)

Well I guess one of the major issues is that it pushes towards 2 party politics, and in current day Britain, the electorate are fed up of the 2 parties which means we will keep ending up with a coalition until one stands out more. That said, I'm not so convinced that that is a bad thing.
I think the 'success' of UKIP is probably down to this as people think that a tactical/protest vote is a clever vote. A spoilt ballot would probably be a better option..

I didn't watch Question Time and am not too clued up on the alternatives to FPTP, and (maybe because of this) get the feeling that the voting system is something that is taking some of the blame for the majority parties continuing to try to please everyone as left and right wing politics blur more and more with every year, and ending up in some middle ground that doesn't really change much..

I don't even think democracy is a good idea, so I'd better stay out of this. :)

The way things are going I'm starting to think anarchy might be the best way forward.......

At least then we don't have to listen to all these d*ckheads on the TV
