At least hes gone to a team that can only improve as they cant go (very much) further back down the grid

Personally i think he will be happy, because in his 'I'm leaving' interview, he said he wished them well in their future.
So he must be happy that they are doing well...

Perhaps once they turn up the honda engine properly, and it stops giving him electric shocks, he may very well keep up with the back of the ferrarris.
