That is lovely Douglas, I hope you enjoy. A British design icon. I have had 3 defenders and find myself forming the same kind of love/hate relationship with them that I have with my Elise. They can both infuriate and delight in equal measures, and you find they get under your skin.

Must admit that I was sad to see it go as I really enjoyed the Defender experience. Obviously it had its niggles and needed a little bit more work than I anticipated but it was enjoyable and really capable throughout the winter.

Not all is not lost as we decided to go for a replacement Defender so we picked this up a couple of weeks ago:

We did try and get one of the limited edition models but we left it a couple of days too late as the Heritage all sold out. As ours is an XS it has all the creature comforts and has come with a couple of nice options such as:Audio System Upgrade, Tow Ball Drop Plate and Electrics, Diamond Turned Alloy Wheels, Privacy Glass, Premium Pack Leather, Reat Luggage space Rack and Contrast Black Roof.

Not much else that I would have spec'd myself if I was picking from the catalogue (only difference would have been the "Black Pack").

Strange thing is that I prefer the old agricultural gear change of the older one compared to the new 6 speed box :?
