Dropped my car off at Murray's on Saturday while down for the rugby, it's in for service and MOT on Monday, but I'm going to struggle for time to go back down and get her. Potential issues found from MOT aside, anyone going down/down there already who needs a way back to Aberdeen and would drive her back for me this week? No issue with the insurance as I'm covered for other drivers 3rd party, though due to time constraints (nearly missed the rugby I was running so late, literally ran in and threw the keys at Brandon!) it's not full of fuel so if someone was able to take her back they'd need to chuck some in and I'd reimburse
Cheers
James

James, N3 went down courtesy of the AA yesterday, and both TonyG and Campbell have offered to try and drive it back, so maybe that could work out.

I personally wouldn't want to do that journey in someone else's P+J, third party.

I would certainly trust anybody who volunteered, to drive her safely back, especially considering the use she normally puts up with.

It's not the trust in myself that's the issue, it's the aggro/hassle should the worst happen and insurance being only third party. Especially on something worth thousands.

It is best to be clear ahead of such arrangements what the position would be in the event of an accident. Clearly Tut would be willing to take the risk, but not everyone would.
As long as you're both comfortable with the arrangement before you start then it'll be fine whatever happens. Last time I did it the other party put me on their insurance as a named driver, just in case ...
Cheers,
Robin

Looks like this is currently on hold, what with car failing the MOT (see technical section).
I'll repost once I get an update on timescales and see if anyone is free. Incidentally I have no issue with others driving my car, largely because I'm sure they'll take care (who wants to be the one to hand back a damaged car) and most on here have years more experience driving LOTI.

So my car has been delayed with the wrong parts arriving from Lotus, so looks like it'll be this Thursday / Friday. Anyone heading in that direction from Aberdeen who could give me a lift down, or heading back up who could drive her back?
Cheers
