DSLR Lens for Nikon D3200 ?

Post by a4drk » Fri Nov 07, 2014 8:37 pm

I need a bigger lens.
Looking at 70-300mm Lens
on ebay
Tamron - £120 used

or
Sigma £100 (new)

Whats the better of these 2 ?

no idea - but agree with the thread issue! Remember asking the same Q for my Canon!

Mrs FS (photographer) says not much in it but she'd go for the Tamron.
She says the cheap Sigmas aren't up to much.
You should read the reviews.

I can’t comment on the Sigma but I have the same Tamron lens for my Nikon, for my skill level it works fine and the 300mm gives plenty of reach. £120 seems a bit steep for a used lens, especially when a new one can be had for less.

I have the tamron one for my DS3000 - its a great lens - you wont be dissapointed, just remeber it doesnt have anti-vibration, so longer shots etc need a tripod
