Good episode last night. Almost wincing about his "chaffing".

Next week is the Pike Peak and your crazy enough to go up their in a car, never mind a bike. They have sanitised the course over the years but the drop off's are scary stuff.

I have great respect for him. Looked like a good effort to achieve that result. Good on them keeping going after getting the record too.

Have to say, this fills the top gear Sunday night viewing slot rather nicely - in fact (as a TG fan) I would say I would watch this before TG. :blackeye

Great show - and once again his down to earth nature (and of his pal) made them very endearing.

Very much looking forward to the pikes peak :thumbsup

Just caught this last night, great programme and he is always great to watch.

Is it really the same record if you're using a fully faired streamlined bike against a standard tandem? It's similiar to the hour record with track bikes/recumbent/steamlinners etc.

I wonder how far they could've gone of the weather hadn't been as bad.

Leaves it open to be beaten, any takers?

Yup i watched it last night and loved it. The dedication the guy has is quite something....
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?
