Shed's back!

Post by pete » Thu Oct 16, 2014 7:18 pm

In time for Oulton and Cadwell the much loved, arguably over loved, shed is back.

A slight misfire on number one was resolved by the expert ministrations of Craig and co at MMC.

Nothing a re-adjusted throttle position sensor and an air filter couldn't cure.

And some valves.

And a set of new pistons.

And a clutch.

And apparently the flywheel wasn't flat and they should be.

And another 2 PAGES of stuff.

But other than that, all good - let the running in begin....

(Thanks very much Craig for all you help, the speedy resolution and the, well I won't say cheap but a bill that was as expected and I have bought quite a lot of bits for my money!)

They used Arial 8pt for Pete's though.

Great stuff; it'll last months before it breaks again, but that's the joy of Elise ownership. See you in the curry house!

What clutch did Craig fit?

Also, glad to hear it was something fairly straight forward after the fear of the serious the night it broke.

I can't comment on Pete's, but Craig fitted a standard clutch to mine, replacing the AP racing clutch on the basis that the standard one would last longer. There is no difference between them from a drivers POV.

Standard clutch I think.

Obviously a racing clutch would have been faster.

Especially knowing how well it was looked after by its previous owner.
