I've never raced but there just seems to be a huge gulf between trackday driving and racing.

I've no idea why there wasn't loads of contact in the clip - there's so many cars and they're just so close.

That's some bit of overtaking while the others are braking into the corner at 1:44, three cars in one swoop.

Remember watching it and thinking that I am still a beginner.

Some of those gaps were bike wide, but talent aside, he must have had a more powerful car judging by his passing speed on the straights.
